Wednesday 15 March, 14.00-15.30
Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh
In this workshop, Daisy Abbott of Glasgow School of Art will run an award-winning serious game on “How to Fail Your Research Degree”. You will have the chance to play the game, and discuss how game-based learning can be effective in embedding research skills into practice. Whether you are a member of staff supervising student research, or a master’s or PhD student yourself, you will take away a better awareness of the risks and pitfalls that can affect a research degree, and the academic skills and activities required for success (or failure!).
