Evidence for Enhancement

The sector’s new Enhancement Theme – ‘Evidence for Enhancement: Improving the Student Experience’ – was launched earlier this month in Edinburgh. Our VP(LT), Prof Karl Leydecker, is leading the Theme and you can read about his thoughts on it in Wonkhe. It’s early days yet for any detailed information on the direction that the Theme will take but an initial overview paper has been produced by QAA Scotland Evidence for Enhancement.

Reflecting on proxies for quality learning

SEDA Spring Teaching and Learning and Assessment Conference Leeds, 10-11 May 2018

The SEDA residentials are always great events for networking and picking up ideas on innovative practice that works. This conference will look at ‘how we can both understand and improve [the student] experience in ways which may offer more fundamental educational advantages than the simple metrics of systems like the NSS and the TEF’. Always of interest but very timely for the Scottish sector with the launch of the new Enhancement Theme focusing on evidence-based practice.

We do lots of great stuff at Dundee – why not think about sharing that good practice at this event? The call for contributions closes on 30 October https://www.seda.ac.uk/events/info/468/call-for-contributions
