
The HEA is running a 2-part professional development course for aspiring, new or experienced external examiners. The design of the course reflects an active learning approach, with an emphasis on valuing participants’ experiences and prior knowledge.
Part 1 takes the form of online activities and reading, with Part 2 being a face-to-face workshop to be held in Edinburgh on Wednesday 7th February. Click here for more details and to book.
As the University of Dundee is an HEA-subscribing institution, this course is free for members of our staff to attend.

Our collegues in Stirling have just announced the Call for Papers for their annual Learning and Teaching conference ‘Seeing things differently: learning, teaching and assessment practices in higher education’, which will take place at the University of Stirling on April 18th 2018. The keynote address will be provided by Siân Bayne, Professor of Digital Education at the University of Edinburgh, and also Assistant Principal for Digital Education www.sianbayne.net
