The Main Library Top floor refurbishment is due to start at the end of May, ( see reminder from UEG in 3 – Monday 10 April , and other communications from the LLC to Schools ). Plans were devised after consultation with University staff & students on the type of space & facilities that would aid study & research. Once the project starts, the top floor will be inaccessible over the summer. We’ve identified print only books which may be required over the summer and will move them into an area on the ground floor, to be accessed via a click & collect service. You’ll be able to request them via Library Search- look for items in the ‘Main Library Research Room collection’, sign in to request the book for collection in the Infozone.
For films, we have access to BoB and Kanopy; titles on DVD only & on resource lists will be moved into the ‘Main Library Research Room collection’, other material moved into store. All items can be requested via Library Search.
The Schools Services collection of picture books, non-fiction and fiction (for ages up to 12) will move down to the first floor, to be located just after the education section.
