Bring your surplus supplies and discover hidden treasures from fellow makers. Whether you’re in need of yarn, fabric, beads, or tools, there’s something for everyone.

Participant Guide
Item Donation:
· Please bring items that are in good, usable condition.
· Avoid bringing items that are broken, damaged, or in poor condition.
· All items should be clean and free of stains, tears, or excessive wear.
· Participants may not receive items of equivalent value to those they donate, managing expectations accordingly.
Types of Items:
· Acceptable items for swapping include hard and soft craft supplies, games, stationery, fabric, books, plants, and skills for swap.
· Hard crafts include woodworking, metalworking, pottery/ceramics, glassblowing, jewellery making, leatherworking, etc. Soft crafts include fibre/textile crafts, clay crafts, paper crafts, beadwork, quilting, candle making, macramé, weaving, felting, painting, and more.
· Please refrain from bringing large furniture, appliances, or items that are difficult to transport.
· For the skill swap, participants can offer 1-hour sessions at their convenience. CreateSpace is accessible during all library hours.
Number of Items:
· Participants are required to bring at least one item or skill for swap.
Respectful Behaviour:
· Treat all participants with respect and courtesy.
· Avoid hoarding or taking more items than necessary.
· Be mindful of others’ preferences and interests when selecting items.
Swap Process:
· Participants will take turns selecting items, allowing each to pick up one item per turn.
· Rotation ensures fairness, with the number of turns adjusted to accommodate all participants and number of items.
Unclaimed Items:
· Any items that are not swapped or taken by the end of the session will be donated to charity (Free Shop) or responsibly disposed of.
· Participants are encouraged to take back any items they brought but did not swap and are more than welcome to bring them back for the next swap.
· In the event that items remain unclaimed and participants opt not to take back their items, provided the donor grants permission, other participants may select an item/s in exchange for a donation to CreateSpace.
