Imbrahim Karim (Graphic Design) and Lauren Morsely (Illustration) were both successful in the award, which, in the 2018 guide, describes its winners as individuals whose work well and truly stands out above the crowd. Not only are the winners chosen by a panel of industry experts, they’re highlighted for the world to see at the Festival – and there’s a chance for them to win one of a few coveted ‘Wildcard’ places at the New Blood Academy (the two-week creative bootcamp). So, this is kind of a big deal for Imbrahim and Lauren.
Imbrahim and his work.
Lauren and her work.
Held in the Old Truman Brewery in Shoreditch, London, the New Blood Festival brings industry and new talent face-to-face, showcasing up-and-coming creatives from around the world with renowned speakers – this year, they include Lego’s CEO and the Executive Creative Director of Google Creative Lab.
Over a thousand graduates from some of the best creative courses showcase their work over the course of the event, which runs from 12-14 July, so it’s a huge accolade for our graduates, and we’re very proud.
Congratulations from all of us at the University of Dundee!
