Alison Infante-Martinez came to Dundee from Peru to study Biochemistry and Drug Discovery. After graduating this Friday, she’s heading to Russia to watch her home country play in the World Cup
Alison – who has been an invaluable member of the student body in her role as a Student Ambassador – will graduate this Friday in Biological Chemistry and Drug Discovery before she heads off to Russia with her family to watch Peru play in the World Cup.
During her second year, Alison went on an Erasmus+ exchange to HAN University of Applied Sciences in Nijmegen where she gained valuable laboratory experience with a special focus on biotechnology and bioengineering, but most recently was working on a fragment-based drug discovery honours project for the development of a novel antifungal.
Although she’s leaving Dundee for the summer, she’ll be back in September as part of the Scottish Graduate Entry Medicine Programme (ScotGEM).
