University employees are being offered discounted bus travel after an analysis of this year’s Travel Survey revealed it was one of the top suggestions for improving bus travel.
More than 1000 members of staff completed the survey earlier this year. Of those taking part, a quarter already travel to work on public transport.
When asked how bus travel could be improved discounted tickets was one of the most popular suggestions alongside more frequent and more direct bus routes.
Trudy Cunningham, the University’s Environment and Sustainability Officer, said the results of the survey had been taken on board and discounted tickets arranged with Stagecoach.
“Discounted tickets was one of the most popular ways of improving bus travel,” she said. “So we have secured a 10% discount for employees on seven day and four week bus tickets with Stagecoach.”
Tickets can be purchased online at stagecoachbus.com or via the Stagecoach Bus app. Discounts are not available to buy from the driver. To obtain the 10% discount can be obtained by entering the code ESCOT19DUNI10 on the website.

A university email address ending with @dundee.ac.uk is necessary to obtain the discount.
