Over the summer months, we are investing in our estate, across City and Kirkcaldy Campuses, and at Riverside Playing Fields. There will be road and building closures, temporary removal of car parking places, with additional people and machinery in operation.
Please pay particular attention when you are moving around the campuses, in particular when warning signs are in place.
Staff and students affected are being informed, and appropriate arrangements are being put in place. Anyone experiencing difficulties should speak to their line manager or tutor/supervisor.
Some of the bigger projects are listed below.
Major work in the Fulton Building means that the majority of staff are being temporarily relocated.
The School of Science and Engineering Office is located in the Queen Mother Building, on Campus Green.
A full programme of works means that several parts of the Matthew Building will be inaccessible, including the whole of Level 6 north.
Also the path between Well Road cottages and the rear of the Matthew Building, as shown, will be closed.
Access to the Enquiry Centre will be improved with new pathways.
Tower Basement IT suites
Access to these IT suites will be suspended, whilst substantial refurbishment takes place.
Alternative IT suites are available in the Main Library and the Dalhousie Building.
We’re installing a new lift, and improving the Library office and Cafe area.
City campus external works
Various works to improve external street lighting are taking place, and some roads are being resurfaced.
Riverside Sports Ground
Our 3G pitches will be closed whilst they are upgraded and flood lighting is improved.
