LLC Research Services are currently operating a pilot to trial new ways to record activities in Discovery. We’ve set up a form which allows you to send us the details which we will then input into Discovery on your behalf. The thinking behind doing so is that we already provide multiple routes to getting published research output records into Discovery, so why wouldn’t we do the same for activities which relate to research? Of course, if you’re happy to add the data yourself, then that’s also fine!
The new form can be found by following this link: Recording Activities.
Our colleagues in UoDIT have also added the form as a tile to the University mobile APP, which can be downloaded here: University App
Look for this icon on the app to find the form.
As a pilot, we know that this isn’t perfect, which is why we need you to make use of the form and feedback your thoughts. Email Moya Fox at email@example.com
When filling in the form, remember these key points:
- The title should clearly indicate what the activity was or be the actual title of the activity that you used to draw in your audience.
- The abstract will appear on the public record.
- If the event runs over a period of time, give us the start and end dates (this is really important for reporting purposes).
- Finally, send us as much information as you can, such as links and documents. The more information you give us, the more likely we are to get it right, and the less likely we are to have to get in contact!
