I was convinced I missed a week of blogging, then I checked and realised I didn’t write a post in almost 4 weeks! My apologies for that! I have no explanation as to where did my 3 missing weeks go!
I have to say though that for the past 2 weeks I’ve been extremely busy, mainly due to all assessments I had but also due to the fact I refused to give up on social aspects of student life. I wouldn’t recommend doing that, unless you like being tired all the time and falling asleep in your tutorials/lectures. Basically for the past 2 weeks I’ve been functioning on 2 hours of sleep per night (if I was lucky) and 2 hours long naps in the afternoon. Once again Frodo saved my life! Though it remains to be seen whether and how will that affect my assessment scores!
Yesterday we had a mooting competition. Seeing as we’re first year students it was our first ever competition and it was both very fun and very terrifying at the same time. Well I say terrifying because half of the time I had no idea what I was doing, but turns out I wasn’t very wrong so that’s okay. I think I got too stressed out over it because my mooting partner and I weren’t very compatible. The ways we handle our work are completely different, while I like to get everything done straight away with lots of time left to double check everything, she prefers to do everything last minute. Our biggest mistake was splitting the work in half and working on it independently. Basically what happened is that some 10 hours before submission deadline I realised we actually can’t use any of the cases my partner found because she misread what they were saying. Of course that meant staying up all night again in an attempt to fix it.
We did fix it eventually so it was all good. Though I must admit that when I got home after the competition I went straight to bed and slept for almost 20 hours!!! I’m really looking forward to reading week and catching up on some sleep.
