10 REASONS TO COME TO OUR OPEN DAY

This weekend we had one of our annual open days, which saw thousands of you from across the country and beyond, come visit our beautiful campus! So in true blogger spirit, I headed down there to find out (for those of you who didn’t make it) the top ten reasons to make sure you don’t miss the next one:

(1) We’re number 1 in Scotland for the second consecutive year running!!!

That’s right folks; we’re Scottish University of the Year once again! Having only just been announced, there was a real buzz around campus that you just can’t experience from an online prospectus. This ranking puts us ahead of Edinburgh and Glasgow for higher education- surely thats worth checking out?

(2) You get a free goodie bag!!!!

The one thing that everybody loves: freebies. Make sure to register for our annual open days to secure yourself a limited edition #UoD goodie bag full of everything you need to know about Dundee and everything going on throughout the day.

(3) Our Student Ambassadors will give you a personalised campus tour!!!!

Throughout the day our Student Ambassadors give personalised tours of campus and provide a student-based perspective of life here at #UoD. Not only will this give you an intimate and real account of what it means to be a #UoD student but, as we are the sunniest city in Scotland, you might even catch a tan in the process.

(4) We have a big deck chair that you can sit on!!!!

Get tired of walking around? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Come and sit on our giant deck chair and rest your legs.

(5) Get a look at our (guaranteed) student accommodation!!!!

Our open day offers the chance to check out accommodation here on campus. Come find out where you could be living for the next year of your life and shotgun the bedroom you want.

(6) We can answer all your questions!!!!!

There’s no such thing as a stupid question. Picking at the right university is one of the most important decisions you’ll ever make so don’t be scared to grill us about what’s so good about #UoD- we’re up for the challenge.

(7) We have a fun photo booth!!!!

Once you’ve had enough of all the serious chat, why not goof out in our photo booth? Bring some friends and put on some silly sunglasses- we know you want to.

(8) Meet our staff and lecturers!!!!

This really is a great opportunity which lets you see for you own eyes that professors are not as big, bad and scary as you may have made them out to be. Think less Professor Snape, more Miss Honey. Don’t believe me- just come and see for yourself.

(9) Get tips from our admissions team!!!!!!

We all know the strain that comes along with applying to university. Getting a chance to come along and chat to the people that can ultimately let you into university strengthens your position.

(10) Realise that UoD is the right university for you!!!!
