Hey there,14614405_1091008571015972_2003603646_o

Welcome to another blog post! I truly cannot believe that I have been in Dundee for six weeks already!

Although I have been having an amazing time in Dundee settling in and attending lectures, I had also been counting down the days until I was able to come home for a visit.

For most of the day last Thursday I was incredibly excited about driving home and spending a few days with my family. Especially because we were all going to be at home at the same time. When I arrived home I was welcomed with familiar faces and cooked food! It was so lovely getting to see my Nana and Papa and getting to catch up on what I had missed over the past weeks.

Over14513558_1086470414803121_810013717_o the weekend I also went to my younger cousins 18th Birthday Party. It was great seeing all my cousins and family friends that I hadn’t seen in a few months. I was also lucky to have quality time with my parents and our dog.

As a treat my Nana took my brother and myself out for lunch in our town Garden Centre where I was excited to see the Christmas decorations already being put up. (If you do not know me that well you should know that I love all things Christmas. No matter what season!)

One of my favourite memories of the weekend was playing our family game ‘Articulate’. Though my dad normally complains about playing, I find that we bond the most over little things like playing games. I also had a lovely time going back to my old church and seeing friends that have supported me growing up.

I was quite gutted to have to come back to Dundee as I know I was leaving behind my Childhood home and my family. However, I will be going home during reading week which means that my dad will have to give up his ‘new study’ (aka my bedroom) again and my mum will have to share the Ben and Jerry’s!

Through this week I have had a bit of an emotional roller-coaster with going back home as I sometimes feel that I am leaving them behind. But as my Nana says – ‘Dunbar will always be your home.’

Signing off,14572007_1091008581015971_57085770_o
