Hey there,15933852_1189797317803763_1477306219_o

Welcome to the first blog post of 2017. I cannot believe how fast the Christmas holidays went by!

Over the break I was able to unwind and relax with my family and friends. A few key things took place –

  • I turned 20! (Goodbye teen years)
  • Christmas
  • New Year

Though December can be a difficult month with rubbish weather and little daylight, it seems to be my favourite month of the year. I love the lights, atmosphere and events of December. I was fortunate enough to finish University relatively early, this allowed me time to rest after assignments but also to challenge myself. I was lucky enough to be allowed to help out in my local primary school with the P1 classes. It was a rewarding experience as I was able to have a taster of what placement will be like during this semester. Also who doesn’t find a Nativity performed by 4/5 year olds to be adorable!

Anothe15935288_1189794491137379_1020366862_or highlight of the Winter break (other than dressing up my dog) was creating a must see Christmas movie list with my mum and trying to complete it before boxing day. Although we managed the majority (more than we probably should have) there are some we missed which may have to be caught up at another time (excuse to go home).

Over the break I also turned 20. Although it is not a milestone birthday, it was the end of those delightful (troublesome) teen years. It was a great day spent with amazing people and good food too! I am looking forward to my 20’s and what they have to offer.

Coming back to University I have had to adjust to living alone again. Though this was definitely easier than my original move, it was still difficult saying goodbye to my family and the comforts of home. However, I will be back soon enough annoying my family like always! Although I left my family back at home I was greeted by my Dundee family. My Primary Ed friends are nothing short of a miracle.15935244_1189794811137347_1318103545_o

Overall I am so glad to be back in Dundee and at University again. I am looking forward to semester 2 and spending time with everyone up here.

Signing off,

Natasha.
