I’ve had a few friends visiting from back home this last week and I was so pleased to see that the sun greeted them for a couple of days while they were here. It’s February, it’s winter, and naturally they were expecting some minus degree-numbers on the Snapchat-filter, but February in Dundee surprisingly showed us up to 14+ instead.
All the talk about Dundee being the sunniest city in Scotland (you haven’t gone through the application process or freshers week properly if you haven’t heard a couple of times)…
Studies were obviously put on hold, and I went a couple of times to the Dundee Law, which is an 174moh extinct volcano and a landmark in the city (right?). Here are some pictures of the lovely way up there.
My friends would tell you, I can’t stop comparing the weather and prices in Dundee with Norway. I will eventually stop, but I just have to show you a couple of pictures some friends back home sent me of the Norwegian February. This is from beautiful Tromsoe (Tromsø) in Northern Norway, where I’ve been studying my undergrad in Law. I can finally add the “Meanwhile, in Norway…”.
