Diary of a Postgrad student – Happy Birthday to me!

Yep! Today is my birthday. I am so excited because my friend at ShoeDoodles designed my new boots using designs from my favourite artist – Tom Lewis. And today I get to wear them! Yay!

I have been spoilt rotten with a new tablet for taking notes at Uni (seriously, I have to type. My handwriting is awful!), these boots, and a load of other fun things. These include a pencil sharpened that is shaped like a cat. You stick the pencil in its bum and it meows as you sharpen. You should have seen the look of terror on my kitten’s face when I first did it lol.

I also got a lockpicking kit. The hubby said it would give me something to do in lectures! I think it might be a little distracting – and not just for me.

And …drum roll…the best birthday present….I have a supervisor! Yay and double yay! This dissertation is such an exciting project and the start of so many things. I have loads of work to do and am itching to get on with it all. I have the first draft of my first assignment completed. It’s not due in until next week, but I had a pretty steep learning curve to climb with it. I have a lot of tidying up to do with it yet, but at least I have something that I think I might get an ok mark for.

Anyway – just a short update today. I’m sure there will be more updates soon.
