Diary of Postgrad student – 5 steps to get through a dark day

I heard on the radio the other day that 50,000 students across the UK used the student counselling service over the past 5 years.

There is a need to be heard.

There are structures in place to provide safe places to talk, but you still need to reach out – to realise that you are not alone and that something can help. That is the hardest bit.

As I gather data for my Masters dissertation, there is an accepted thing that not many men will fill it in. Sure enough, only 6% of the completions are male. Men don’t talk it seems. Even on an anonymous questionnaire.

So, male or female, maybe this inforgraphic will help. It is 5 simple steps to get through a dark day.
