Tuesday 13th March 2018 was the History Society’s Annual Ball at Apex Hotel in Dundee! I had such a fab night and I’m certain everyone else did too. I thought I’d write a blog post about it for everyone who is considering attending a ball or to encourage you all to get involved in societies or your school and attend one ASAP!
The set up was very pleasing to us history students but I’m sure anyone could appreciate it. Each table had a different historical event theme which was so interesting and a great idea! Everyone was really impressed with the way the tables were set up and how professional it all looked.
We had a lovely 3 course meal to fill us up, then took part in a ceilidh! This was only my second (I’m very English) but I gave it a good try! I love this Scottish tradition and I loved taking part in it.
If you missed it, the photographer, Ryan Quinn, was amazing and took some fab photos on the night which are all up on the History Society’s Facebook page. Take a look, and if this doesn’t persuade you I don’t know what will!
I was also elected History Society President on the same day, so next year we’ll be organising the next annual ball! I encourage you all to come along as it’s a fab night. I hope you all enjoy any events you take part in!
