Well, UoD undergraduate open days are over again for another semester! I’ve helped out at the History stall for the past two semesters and I absolutely love it. It’s such an amazing opportunity to really sell the university and encourage people to come to Dundee, as well as to take History modules of course! (I’d encourage anyone who’s interested to take part as it also looks pretty good on your CV!!)
If any prospective students are reading this, I hope you managed to attend one of our open days and you enjoyed yourself and got a fab view of Dundee! Luckily this semester the weather was really on our side so you got to see Dundee in its best light. If you didn’t manage to get to an open day, it’s okay! You can book a campus visit where you’ll get an even closer and more informative experience than you would at a normal open day!
I’d recommend going to open days at any university you’re interested in as you really can’t get a feel for a university unless you actually visit it. For example, if you much prefer campus universities, like Dundee, then Edinburgh won’t be for you as it’s spread across the city! Or, the other way around – if you don’t like campus universities then we’re definitely not for you! It’s the only reliable way you can really get to know the city and the campus, and your parents will probably feel a lot more comfortable sending you off to uni in a place they’ve had a bit of a tour around and they know is safe and secure for you.
I hope you’re all happy making your choices for UCAS and have had a brilliant time visiting Dundee and any other universities!
