Trips around Scotland

Trip to Edinburgh/Aberdeen

With Dundee only being about an hour away from both Aberdeen and Edinburgh, that makes day trips to two very different cities very possible. Something which I do regularly, almost every week! I got a railcard with my Santander student Account, which means this trip only costs 20 pounds return!

Edinburgh

The capital of Scotland does not disappoint, you can visit the castle, walk around the old town or even visit the parliament! On my last trip, I visited Portobello beach and Dean Village. This is a small part of Edinburgh next to a small river, very pretty and photogenic!

I also visited the Dome, which was already decorated for Christmas and Panda box which is a speakeasy bar in which you need to walk through a box case door to enter!

I can wait to return in December and visit the Christmas market!

Aberdeen

Having completed my internship in Aberdeen, I know it quite well and have a few friends up there two. With several shopping centers, it’s a great place to go shopping. I love the Nespresso store! On my last visit, a small Christmas market had opened!

Aberdeen also offers several very pretty parks and a small fishing village that is very cute and photogenic.

My next trip to Scotland will hopefully be up to Orkney or the Isle of Barra, somewhere I haven’t yet had to the chance to visit.
