“Why Dundee?” a lot of my friends and family asked me when I told them I was firming the university on UCAS. This was always an easy question for me to answer.
Because my heart said so. And the stats were amazing. Rated #3 and #4 for law by The Guardian in 2019 and 2020 respectively, UoD became a dream school for me. “Not only will I be able to fund my studies with SAAS as a European student, but I will also be studying in a country I love and at a great uni, sounds like a steal to me.” is what went through my head the moment I applied. When the offer came, I was ecstatic.
I started researching all the best coffee shops, bars, parks and restaurants because I could not wait to be a part of this community. September came along pretty fast, I moved, quarantined for 14 days, and then I explored the city as much as I could. It might be a small city in terms of population, but there is honestly so much to see, explore and experience here. It was not just the parks and cafes that made me fall in love with this place. The students here are the most friendly and happy people I’ve ever met. It felt like a dream, still does sometimes.
Covid has made it quite difficult to truly explore the life here, but from what I have experienced so far, I would wholeheartedly recommend this University along with this city to everyone. While I cannot tell you where to apply, I can tell you to invest in your own happiness, as well as your education. UoD can definitely provide an environment for you to flourish, both academically and socially, pinky promise.
Nice
