Fun recipe for the holidays…

Holidays are about family, bonding, and food. As some of us might be preparing to go back home, I know that some will stay back here in Dundee – so in this blog, I will be sharing an easy Indian recipe that I tried over this weekend (with the hope that it will make you feel a little at home)

  1. Sprouts Frankie

  • Boiled sprout of your choice
  • Grated carrot
  • Capsicum
  • Lemon juice
  • Chopped onion
  • Salt
  • Chilli powder
  • Garam masala
  • Chilli powder
  • Tortilla wraps

Prepare a filling by mixing the boiled sprouts with your favorite veggies and onion. To this, add lemon juice and salt as per your taste. Keep this mixture aside. Now, prepare the sauce that is to be applied on the tortilla wraps: to 2 tbsp of water add ½ tsp chili powder, 1tsp dried mango powder, ¼ garam masala, and salt to taste.

Take a tortilla and apply the prepared sauce to the wrap along with the sprout and veggie mix. Gently heat this on butter till a little crispy and enjoy!

Don’t forget to pair it with a batch of cookies (if you are a sweet tooth like me)!

Happy Holidays!

British folk have a love / hate relationship with the Brussels sprout – it is traditionally eaten at Christmas as part of a Christmas meal. I love them Aditee – definitely going to be trying this out. Where is best to get dried mango powder?
